About the Company

The company Rechberger Reifen was founded in 1970 by automotive mechanic Hermann Rechberger as a gas station and tire retail business in Nestelbach 68.

Construction of the current company building in Nestelbach 76 began in 1978. The relocation took place in 1980. Since then, we have been active in the tire and timber trade. We import our wood from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Hungary.

Daniel Rechberger, Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (FH), joined the company in 2010 and took over the management of Rechberger Reifen e.U. on January 1, 2016.

In May 2018, Rechberger Reifen e.U. was restructured into Rechberger Reifen GmbH.

In 2019, we focused our core business on the tire trade and discontinued our firewood sales.

As we reached our capacity limits in the area of own-account transport, we additionally registered a commercial road haulage business in 2020. For transport orders, we are happy to refer you to our customers.

Now and in the future, we rely on cooperation with China and other Eastern European countries for the import of tires, wood, and machinery products.

We prioritize cost-effective and environmentally conscious operations, which is why we have implemented the following measures:

  • 2017: Installed a 21 kWp photovoltaic system to power our facility; the surplus electricity generated roughly balances out the electricity purchased from the grid.
  • 2017: Simultaneously replaced the roof with an insulated version and installed translucent roofing panels to save electricity.
  • 2018/2019: Constructed a warehouse featuring insulation and LED lighting.
  • 2020: Upgraded workshop lighting to LED.
  • 2021: Purchased a new light commercial vehicle (Euro 6 standard) for delivering up to 20 truck tires.
  • 2023: Comprehensive renovation of the on-site apartment, including efficient underfloor heating and new triple-glazed windows.
  • 2024: Comprehensive thermal renovation, including external wall insulation.
  • 2024: Heating system replacement; we swapped our old oil and wood heating for a modern log-burning gasification boiler.
  • 2024: Upgraded warehouse lighting to LED (in the hall built in 2014).
  • 2025: In June, we added a battery storage system to our electrical grid, achieving 85% energy self-sufficiency via solar power by July.
  • 2026: Expanded storage capacity to 60 kWh, replaced standard glazing with insulating glass, redesigned the sales area/office, and renovated the customer parking lot.

Furthermore, for all investments and renovation projects, we exclusively commission local businesses (and customers!) to minimize travel distances and strengthen the regional economy.
